P3 Grandmaster Diorama - "Contract Renegotiation" Part 6 FINISHED

So here are the final shots of my diorama. I was super pleased to win and have been happy to share the construction and paint concepts with y'all. If anyone has any questions feel free to contact me - I am a firm believer in supporting the hobby community!

IF YOU CLICK THE "READ MORE"  JUMP BELOW IT WILL BRING UP A LOT MORE PICS - MOSTLY CLOSE UP SHOTS WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE DETAILS BETTER. THANKS FOR CHECKING THIS OUT - PLEASE FOLLOW/SUBSCRIBE AND MESSAGE IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS!

Here you can see the man himself  - and even at this magnification you can see how well the floorboards that cover his magnetized and recessed base blend in - a lot of people didn't realize that he is removable - But there was no way I was building a model as cool and rare as this without being able to use it after! :)

And Finally - THE dreaded light fixture - as I eluded to in an earlier post, I overlooked that the light I used in my mock up was a GW part and as such would have disqualified the entire piece! So after talking to the judges at the event and making sure that a modification was necessary I went back to my hotel room the night before competition, cut apart my entry and over the course of about 4 hours made and painted a new lamp out of brass etch, plastic card & tubing and grandt line nuts. In the end I was more happy with the design of the light than before I started - so I guess it was worth it!

Well that's it folks! thanks for your support, thanks to Privateer Press for such an awesome competition, and thanks especially to Wayne of Waynes Bases who made my wooden Plinth for this diorama - I will be doing a whole piece on his amazing bases very soon on here so if you are a competition painter stay tuned!

Also Coming Soon - MEGA MULG! - the first of my entries for the next P3 competition at Gencon (August 2015) and the first time I think I have blogged a build log before a competition - this one was just SO Cool that I couldn't wait to share :)

Also: More trolls, Busts, Todd Swanson, and totally cool new projects and gear!
