Boltman (Vince Hudon) Lighting Tutorial

Vince knows that he is a painter and a person I hold in the highest regard. He is a wonderful person who just so happens to be a Canadian multi slayer sword winning painter. Whats more is, like me, he actually plays with his golden demon pieces! Fantastic.

What I have done this week is to post a link to yet another tutorial of Vince's which he has been so good to share us all. The reason I post a link this time instead of transcribing the whole article is that while I have his blessing to post his work I want to clear the actual article transcription with GW Canada HQ for whom he originally wrote it - therefore this post may morph into a transcription at some point but for now it is a link.

Why all this just to post a link - well to be perfectly honest I think this is one of the best and most useful tutorials I have ever seen for advanced miniature painting. It sticks to one lighting technique in particular and really gives a great example of how Vince pushed his work on Lord Graviax (above) to earn his second slayer award.  I remember seeing this piece in the display and marvelling over how it literally seemed to glow in in the case. It was awesome. Hopefully some of y'all will be able to make this technique work for you too. So thanks again Vince and to my loyal readers I will see you again next week with a new update.
