PLEASE STAND BY...

Hi folks - sorry about the lack of update last week and (sort of) today. It has been a really strange week - my mother has taken quite ill with a brain tumor and we are waiting on more medical tests and consultations before we see how things will proceed. For those who believe in such things, your prayers and "positive waves"are most certainly welcome.

On the other end of the spectrum, with this news still largely undigested, I went this weekend to Toronto and spent two days at Hornet Hobbies studying with a group of painters under the tutelage of Fernando Ruiz of FER miniatures. It was a weekend of side splitting laughter and camaraderie the likes of which I have rarely seen.  I cannot thank Fernando, Alex & Anthony of the Bent Bristle and the rest of the folks involved enough. This experience has lifted and recharged my spirit (not to mention teaching me the inherent value of unicorn tears as a paint additive!).

I will post more about the seminar, model projects, etc. soon but, between family and end of the school year wrap up, things may be somewhat sporadic for the short term.

More soon
James
