RIP Hillary P. Lovecraft

A year ago, I lost my dear friend, mentor and a most fantastic art professor, Alison Kendall AKA Hillary P. Lovecraft. It is hard to believe that she is gone, let alone that it has been this long.

She was wickedly smart, had a beautiful smile, was witty beyond words, one of the toughest people I have ever met and simply spread joy wherever she went. I think of her often and can only hope that I can support, inspire and teach my own students even a small fraction of what she was able to share with me.
